Andrea Bocelli To Perform Free Central Park Show


Famous  Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is a free show in Central Park in New York to perform on September 15.
The 52-year-old is running the show for PBS, and he says it was a dream of his deceased father.
Tickets for the free event, there were at various locations in the city on Thursday, August 4 and hundreds of people for their chance to grab seats held early, most of which were sold by 3p.m ET.
Bocelli will perform with the New York Philharmonic and Westminster Symphonic Choir and the choirs along with special guests will be on hand to perform, but that star next to the tenor was not disclosed.

The "Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park" special will air on PBS on December 2 at 9 am and a CD of the concert together with the available DVDs will arrive sometime in November.
Bocelli said in a statement:
      "I can not help but smile when thinking about the upcoming concert in Central Park," while adding, "It was my father's dream, and my father was right, because my artistic path would have been very different without the strong and sincere embrace of this special city where everything is possible, even when it seems impossible. "
Following the concert Bocelli will perform in several American cities, including Washington, DC and Las Vegas.
